We strongly recommend you start each session with some warm ups, they create focus, become a familiar “it’s singing time” start to the session, and prevent vocal injury. They also create an opportunity for measured development. With regular practice notes can be held longer and the weakest voice will sing louder.
In the drop down menu above you will find links to Physical Warm Ups, Vocal Warm Ups and Mental Warm Ups. We recommend you start each session with at least one from each section. Experiment until you have a combination that you and your group feel happy with and stick with it, these exercises will become familiar friends so don’t feel you have to change them too often. Introduce new individual exercises when you feel the process is becoming stale.
